Process Loop Powered Indicators 3-1/2 Digit Display with Dummy Zero Powered Entirely by Signal Loop 4 to 20 or 10 to 50 mA Ranges Scaleable Zero and Offset for Engineering Units Optional CENELEC Certification The 508B/558B Series two-wire current-loop indicators accept 1-5, 4-20 or 10-50 mA signals and digitally display the process variable in percent or in engineering units such as pressure, flow, temperature, and level. No separate power supply is required, as these units take power directly from the current loop with a voltage drop of less then 2.5 volts. The units have full zero and span scaling capability for any desired engineering unit display, six coarse zero ranges, three coarse span ranges, three with jumper-select decimal location, and a dummy zero. The 558B has a panel mount design while the 508B Series are more ruggedly designed, with the electronics securely connected to the top of the case. They are designed to withstand high vibration and shock with cases of die-cast metal that are waterproof to 35kPa (5 psi). The 508B-1 has barrier strip terminals, and the 508B-2 has a 1/2" EMT male conduit mounting.
